France is a place of perfect people, flawless spaces, and unique architecture. One of the most notable sacred spaces in France is Mont St. Michel, a small rocky island about 1km from the northern coast of France at the mouth of The Couesnon River in Normandy. Why may you ask would you want to explore Mont St. Michel? Well for starters, it’s an island that exudes perfection all around it, there’s the fact that The Abbey at the top of the mountain boasts breathtaking views and it’s known as the peril of the sea.

As you climb 900 steps up The Escaller de Dentelle, The Lace Staircase you’ll feel as though you’re in a picture perfect movie with the thought that you’re the only person in the world as far as the eye can see. Looking from an aerial view of Mont St Michel, you’ll see what I mean. It’s as though this island came from nowhere and parked itself right on the middle of the islet. Exploring the Abbey, and St.Pierre’s richly carved side chapel is a time for you to feel the inner brilliance of the self and the sacred world.

Making your way across the thin, natural land bridge, you’ll switch into the act of wonderment as you explore the town of Mont St. Michel, the 1km-diameter clump of rocks jutting out of the waters of the English Channel and explore the fairytale castle. As you embark on your journey, you’ll see from near and far just how precious this rocky island truly is.
