A Penguins Haven
If you have a love for penguins as much as the next guy, than you’re going to want to explore a few different spots in the world to see first hand just how friendly and unique these cute little creatures really are.
Firstly, take to Boulders Beach in the village of Simons’s Town, South Africa, where there is a plethora of African Penguins just hanging out. The penguins have deemed this lovely beach as their breeding grounds as there are few predators on this part of the coast. Protected as a national park, the spot is a tourist attractions and walkways are set up along the coast to watch as the penguins enjoy the natural habitat.
Next, venture off to Phillip Island, close to Melbourne, Australia to check out the Penguin Parade, one of the most popular wildlife attractions in all of Australia. At sunset this wild little creatures come out to play. They emerge from the sea, waddle across the sandy shore and burrow into the sand dunes. Here is where you’ll find the largest little penguin colonies, and thus is a sight to see if you’re a penguin lover.
As you explore New Zealand you’ll also be accustomed to seeing these wobbly little creatures flopping around along while you’re spending a day out in the waters of New Zealand. Spot a colony of Blue Penguins as you embark on a boat cruise through the Akaroa Harbour near Christchurch. The penguins flop in and out of the sea throughout the day, so you’ll surely spot a few as you enjoy the day out at sea.
