When in Amsterdam
You know the old saying, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do”, well Amsterdam is that one spot where you may just fall into that old adage. From street parties, to history there is much to explore while here, and so pull up your socks and be ready for a mindboggling pit stop to Amsterdam.
With many locals strolling along on their bikes, we suggest you do the same thing to do as the ‘Amsterdam-ians’ do. There are a whole slew of spots to rent a bike, and with 249 miles of cycle lanes it’s one of the easiest ways to lose yourself in the endlessly beautiful streets. Take a photo by the infamous ‘I amsterdam’ sign, stroll only the canal, or cycle on over to the famous Albert Cuyp Market, the best-known and busiest outdoor market in Europe.
As you embark on your journey through Amsterdam you’ll be exploring a whole lot of beautifully structured buildings and massive parks. The Rijksmueum, the National Art Museume of The Netherlands is home to famous artists such as Frans Hals, Vermeer, Jacob van Ruysdale and Rembrandt. Dam Square is where the fun begins, when in Amsterdam venture off to Dam Square to partake in some of the best citywide festivals. The Attic Church, The Van Gogh Museum, The Anne Frank House & Museum, Vondelpark and The Floating Flower Market are of course highlights of Amsterdam. Do as The Amsterdam-ians do as you puruse The Red Light District or get adventurous and head into a ‘coffee shop’ to see what Amsterdam is most known for.
When in Amsterdam explore the history, architecture and lifestyle of the locals and experience something really magical while visiting this famous city.
