Marbled Caves
The world continually showcases just how beautiful it really is. Whether you travel on a worldwide tour and spot in the most unique spots, or venture off to explore your own neighborhood, you’ll soon realize the world is a pretty amazing place.
Amazing really doesn’t begin to describe The Marble Caves of Patagonia, Chile. The second you make the long trip here you will be in complete awe at what is in front of you. These beautifully vibrant royal and turquoise blue caves are partially submerged in the majestic waters of Carrera Lake. Comprised of three main caverns, The Cave (La Cuvea), The Cathedral (El Catedral) and The Chapel (La Capilla), you can explore the majestic nature of these unique formations by boat or kayak through their calm waters. As a nature reserve there is hope these caves will continue to be a naturalization spot for years to come, no matter how far-fetched that idea is, one can only hope these caves will stay as beautiful as can be.
What makes these caves some of the most unique in the world is the way the water is reflected off the turquoise waters and shines brightly on the marbled rock. One prominent landscape photographer and environmentalist, Line Waidehofer, from Coloardo, USA loves these caves so much so she decided to build a house above this uniquely crafted caves and live there for half the year. Now if that’s not a reason to come explore the marbled rock walls, and bluest of blue waters, than I certainly don’t know what is.
