Deep In The Mountains

Adventure, in a nutshell is stepping out of your boundaries and exploring lands so beautifully immense that you’ll be talking about for days and days to come. The places I’ve seen and the waterfalls I’ve stumbled upon surely are sights that I’ll be talking about for years to come.

Having traveled to places near and far to check out some of the prettiest waterfalls, I was able to explore the tallest waterfall on Maui just a few months back. The waterfall, Honokohau Falls, is located in the deep valley of The West Maui Mountains. The beautiful thing about this gigantic waterfall isn’t the fact that its two tiers total 1,119 feet (341m) tall, but the fact that this overwhelming waterfall can only be seen from way up above.

And so, as you embark on your journey to catch a perfect glance of Honokohau Falls, you’re going to want to consider a few things. Firstly, tell your pilot you would love to get up close and personal with the falls, once they hear this they’ll ensure you see the falls sprinkling down from up above. Next, as the falls are deep within the West Maui Mountains note that there, no matter how adventurous you may be, is no other way to see these falls than to hop on a helicopter. I as much as the next guy love a good adventure, but if you’re looking to get deep into the mountains and see the falls up close and personal that’s just not going to happen. But let me tell you, from up above, it’s a thing of beauty. A natural beauty that we all so wish we could emulate one day.
