Seven Most Magical Pools
If you’ve haven’t already guess it, I love Hawaii. I love the beaches of Hawaii, the sights of Hawaii, the sweet smells, the surfing and it’s deeply rooted culture. Having traveled to Maui many times, there is one spot in Maui you really don’t want to miss out on. It’s called The O’heo Gulch Pools, or better known as The Seven Sacred Pools, and they are certainly sacredly brilliant if you ask me.
The second we embarked on our journey up to this historical site, we were a little weary about it because of that dreaded drive to Hana. But if you were as nervous as us the first time we rode up through the windy roads of Hana and made our way to The Seven Sacred Pools, than you’ll know that it’s certainly worth the sweat.
Ohe’o Gulch are a string of pools and waterfalls that produce mystical waters and dramatic waterfalls. Once you jump into the water (from the tallest cliff to the lowest), you’ll find the water is cool and pristine. Unless you’re a seasoned cliff diver, I recommend you slowly easing yourself into the pools as the pools are rock bottom.
With easy access to the pools, you can spend the day swimming, enjoying the hot sun and sights, or practicing your jumping skills. One thing you’re surely going to want to do is swim right under a waterfall, and feel the thousands of barrels of water protruding down on you. I’ll never forget that moment we all swam under the waterfall and touched the cool water, that is surely a sacred moment in my books.
